Minnesota police say a man died after chasing and hitting nurses with a metal pipe. Charles Emmett Logan, 68, of St. Paul died after being handcuffed following the attack Sunday. A nurse suffered from a collapsed lung, another broke her wrist.
Police say officers used a Taser gun on Logan when they found him 3 blocks from the hospital, when that wasn’t effective, wrestled him to the ground and put him in handcuffs. Almost immediately after the cuffs were placed on him, police said, Logan became unresponsive and died. An autopsy is scheduled.
