The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying the following individual wanted in connection to an attempted rape which occurred on the East Side of Manhattan – within the confines of the 9 Precinct. The circumstances are as follows:
On Sunday, December 28, 2014 at approximately 6:06AM, the suspect followed a 22 year-old female victim into an apartment building on East 6 Street and sexually assaulted her in the stairwell. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to Beth Israel Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a male, dark skinned, approximately 25 years-old, approximately 180 lbs., with short cut hair, wearing a dark baseball cap, black bubble jacket, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
