NYPD Seeks Public’s Help Identifying Violent Armed Robbery Suspect

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for an attempted robbery within the confines of the 47th Precinct. Details are as follows:

On Sunday, January 10, 2016 at approximately 7:00 am, the victim, a 41-year-old male was in a building lobby in the vicinity of 225th Street and White plains Road when he was approached by a male suspect who demanded his property. As the victim began to give over his property the suspect stabbed him multiple times in the back with a knife. The suspect then fled to parts unknown without any property taken from the victim. The victim was taken by EMS to Jacobi Hospital where he was treated and released.

The suspect is described as a male black, approximately 30-years-old, 5’7″ tall, 200lbs.
Last seen wearing a black and blue hooded jacket, black jeans and black sneakers.

The following incidents are being added to the above incident to create a pattern:

2: On Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at approximately 11:05 pm, the individual approached the 57 year-old male victim from behind, as he was entering his apartment building on East 235 Street. The individual proceeded to display a knife and removed $120 in cash. The individual then slashed the victim’s face and torso while when the victim tried to detain him. The victim’s Galaxy Note cellphone was also taken during the incident.

3: On Sunday, January 17, 2016 at approximately 7:35 am, the individual approached the 56 year-old male victim on Richardson Avenue and displayed a knife while demanding cash. The individual removed the victim’s iPhone 6 and fled.

4: On Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at approximately, 1:38 am, the individual approached the 56 year-old male victim as he entered his apartment building on Digney Avenue and displayed a knife. The individual removed the victim’s cellphone and $90 in cash.

5: On Saturday, January 23, 2016 at approximately 6:10 am the individual approached the 26 year-old female from behind and attempted to take her purse. When the victim turned around, the individual pushed her to the floor and displayed a knife. The individual removed the victim’s purse, which contained multiple bank cards and $26 in cash.

The individual is described as follows:

Male, black, 5’7″ to 5’11”, 17 to 28 years-old.
He was seen wearing black jeans, black sneakers, a blue jacket or vest, black hoodie.
