JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (First Coast News) — After 14 years, the longtime eyesore of the Jacksonville skyline is no more. The Berkman II building was imploded at 10 a.m. by Pece of Mind Environmental.

The building had been vacant after a parking garage collapse in December 2007 left one man, 26-year-old Willie Edwards III, dead and many others injured.
