WATCH LIVE: (Scroll Down) At least one person died Tuesday morning when a school bus veered from the 610 Loop in southeast Houston.
The two-vehicle wreck occurred about 7 a.m. on the eastbound frontage road of the South Loop near Telephone Road, according to Houston Department.
Several students and the bus driver were rushed to the hospital, said Holly Huffman, a spokeswoman for the Houston Independent School District. Details of their injuries and conditions were not released.
Police said at least one person died in the crash. It appears the bus may have plunged from an overpass.
The bus, Huffman said, was headed to Furr High School.
The initial investigating indicate the bus may toppled over off the freeway.
