According to CBS46, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed is expected to announce an Executive Order banning official City of Atlanta travel by employees to North Carolina in response that state’s passage of H.B. 2, which revoked civil rights protections for LGBTQ people.
The Mayors of San Francisco and Seattle, as well as New York Governor Cuomo, are also restricting travel to North Carolina for City employees.
A number of major corporations have condemned H.B. 2, including Google and Facebook, as have the NBA and NCAA.
