ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Police have shot and killed a suspect in north St. Louis this Wednesday morning. The shooting happened in the 1200 block of Walton in St. Louis City. Police say the officer is not injured.
Chief Sam Dotson says two armed male suspects ran out of the back of a home near the intersection of Page and Walton in north St. Louis on Wednesday. Two police officers executing a search warrant chased the suspects running from the home.
Officers told the suspects to drop their weapons. Police say one of the suspects raised his gun and pointed it at officers. One of the officers then shot at the suspects. The other officer then fired two more shots. The injured man continued running until he collapsed. Police say the other suspect got away.
A stolen gun from Rolla, MO was recovered from the suspect’s body.
