Woman Arrested After Pulling Gun During Road Rage Incident

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oregon — On Saturday evening, a California woman was arrested for pointing a gun at a motorist during a road rage incident northwest of Forest Grove.

On Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 7:19 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of NW Timber Road and NW Wilson River Highway on a report that a female motorist pointed a firearm at another person during a road rage incident. While a deputy was taking an initial statement from the complainant, the suspect vehicle drove by their location.

Deputies and Oregon State Police troopers caught up to it and conducted a high-risk traffic stop at NW Gales Creek Road and NW David Hill Road, northwest of Forest Grove.

Deputies searched the suspect vehicle and located an unloaded 9mm handgun in the center console.

Christina Salazar, 28, of Vallejo, California, was arrested for Menacing and Unlawful Possession of Firearms.
