Woman Charged With Murdering Boyfriend, Allegedly Pinned Him With Car Against Pillar at Gas Station

EL PASO — On Thursday night officers responded to the Valero store at 629 S. Yarbrough on a domestic violence call. 39 –year old Jorge Luis Vasquez, was found unresponsive and transported by Fire Medical Services to Del Sol Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Doctors did not suspect foul play due to a lack of apparent injuries on the victim and his girlfriend, 44 –year old Monica Martinez, denied any wrong doing.

Detectives responded to conduct the investigation. Surveillance footage obtained from the store by detectives revealed an argument between the couple in the parking lot. The offender is seen in a vehicle driving towards the victim who was on foot, pinning him between the vehicle and a support pillar on the gas island, after which the victim collapses.

The Medical Examiner’s office later determined the cause of death to be a homicide.

Martinez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Murder under a $1,000,000 bond.
