TEXAS – Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man, a woman and a child — and also the wounding of a second kid.

The incident happened at a home located at 12101 Fondren Road about 10:35 p.m. last Wednesday.

The deceased victims are identified as Harmony Carhee, 6, Donyavia Lagway, 29 and Gregory Carhee, 35. A second girl, 10, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the shooting at the above address and found Lagway, Carhee and Harmony dead with gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the 10-year-old girl to the hospital.

The suspect, Xavier Davis, 28, is charged with three counts of capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A motive for the crime remains unknown.

KHOU reported: According to family members, Lagway had four children and also recently found out she was pregnant with her fifth child.

A witness said the shooter was a man wearing a medical mask. The man allegedly came to the door and shot Gregory Carhee and threw the 1-year-old baby by the hair. The shooter then opened fire on other family members.

A family member said the girl also held her 1-year-old brother and pretended to play dead.

Investigators believe that, because there are no signs of forced entry at the family’s home, the victims may have known their killer.

“This was a very, very tragic scene,” Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu said. “We’re sending out prayers to the family. This was not only a difficult scene for us but for the family as well.”
