A Turkish police patrol has come under fire in central Istanbul, leaving one officer injured.
The officer that sustained injuries was transported to a local hospital.
It is reported that he sustained a gunshot wound to his arm, it thought that the injury is not life threatening.
Police confirmed that they sent reinforcements to the immediate area in an attempt to track the suspects.
Previously, there were large protests against Ankara’s security operations and curfews were in affect in the southeastern areas of Turkey.
