14-Year-Old Shot Dead In The Bronx, Suspects at Large

On Friday, May 22, 2015 at approximately 8:30 a.m. police responded to a call of a person shot at 1174 Sheridan Avenue, within the confines of the 44 precinct. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 14 year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, in the vicinity of 1174 Sheridan Avenue having sustained three gunshot wounds to the abdomen and one gunshot wound to the head. 

EMS responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased on scene. 

The victim is Christopher Duran. He has several prior arrests. 

Investigators say the shooting may have been gang related.

Police say one suspect was last seen wearing all black, the other was seen wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt with dark sleeves, light blue jeans and a red bandana.

The investigation is on-going
