Police In Mass. Respond To Multiple Automated Bomb Threats

Weymouth, Massachusetts — The Weymouth Police Department was investigating several bomb threats that were received via automated call system at several locations in Weymouth Monday night. The calls all appear to be recordings, police said.

The calls were received at several locations including the police station, South Shore Hospital, and several retail stores and supermarkets in Weymouth. The calls began coming in at approximately 8:30 PM.

The locations were being checked by officers who were being assisted by K-9 explosive detection units from the Quincy Police and Transit Police.

Braintree and Quincy Police patrol units also provided mutual aid. The investigation is ongoing.
