On November 27, 2015, Grand County Dispatch was contacted regarding a vehicle that was approximately 100 feet off of the Floy Wash Road. Law enforcement responded to the area approximately 5 miles south of exit 175 on I-70 in Grand County.

Upon their arrival, a 2014 Honda Civic was found abandoned. A search of the immediate area did not produce the
driver. The vehicle came back registered to an individual in San Clemente, California. Information received from San Clemente law enforcement led investigators to believe the vehicle was driven by Michael Cavallari.
