FRESNO, California — A body was discovered this morning at an Amtrak station at 8th Street and Pine Street in Paso Robles.
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Investigators have determined the cause of death to be a homicide. The victim was man who was shot in the back of the head at close range.
Investigators believe the homicide is related to a shooting incident this morning where a deputy was shot. The wounded Deputy is listed in serious but stable condition after being airlifted to a trauma center.
The suspect described as male in 20’s or 30’s. Residents in the area are being asked to shelter-in-place.
Further details or a motive were not known.
