Bay Minette, Alabama — Today at about 2:30 pm Baldwin County Sheriff’s Deputies were following up on the location of a runaway juvenile female north of Bay Minette on Hwy 287 near Petersen Lane.
Deputies located the juvenile and a male adult coming from a wood line. The Deputy ordered the two to stop and began to approach the two. The Deputy attempted to detain the male suspect and was hit in the head by the suspect. The Deputy was knocked unconscious.
A second Deputy was close by and attempted to detain the suspects and was also hit receiving minor injuries. The responding Deputy was transported by Helicopter to University Hospital in Mobile where he is being evaluated and is in stable condition.
Both the female juvenile and the male suspect are in custody with charges pending.
