HOUSTON, TX – U.S. Marshals have captured Oscar Rosales across the border from Del Rio, Texas with the help of joint operation marshals, Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force and the Mexican authorities.
Rosales was tracked down to a hotel in Ciudad de Acuña, Mexico.
Oscar Rosales is charged with capital murder, in the ambush shooting death of Harris County Precinct 5 Corporal Charles Galloway. The deputy was shot numerous times through the windshield as she sat in his patrol car.
Authorities are beginning the process of returning Rosales to Harris County.
ARRESTED: Oscar Rosales was taken into custody by law enforcement authorities in Mexico earlier today. We are working with our law enforcement partners to begin the process of returning Rosales to Harris County.
