At least two bomb threats were called into NYPD precincts in New York City Tuesday, sources told CBS New York.

The threats were called into the 104th Precinct in Queens and to the 75th Precinct in East New York.

As police investigate the origin of the bomb threats, security has been stepped up at all NYPD station houses following the fatal shootings of NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.

Mayor de Blasio has called for a pause on protests and political rhetoric surrounding the Eric Garner and Michael Brown grand jury decisions in the wake of the NYPD officer murders.

Nevertheless, some protesters went to the streets on Tuesday night anyway and shouted, “How do you spell murderers? NYPD!”

“Indict, convict, send those killer cops to jail. The hole damn system is guilty as hell” was also chanted on Tuesday.

It is unknown whether the bomb threats have any connection to the protests over the Eric Garner case.
