Two people were shot during an attempted robbery at the border of Borough Park and Kensington neighborhoods in Brooklyn on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred at an electronic store located at Avenue J and McDonald Avenue when two men entered the shop demanding money while displaying a weapon. Two employees, both Sephardic Jews – would not obey the robbers demands.
A suspect shot one of the men before fleeing the scene. The second employee chased the suspects down the street and was shot at the corner of Dahill and 52nd street.
One of the employees was shot in the torso while the other was shot in the hand. They were both transported to Lutheran Medical Center. Both are listed in stable condition.
One suspect was apprehended nearby and a firearm was discovered at the scene. Officers are searching for the second suspect and are hoping to have him in custody shortly.
Charges are pending.
