#BREAKING: 3 Dead In Scaffolding Collapse At Downtown Raleigh High-Rise

    RALEIGH, North Carolina —  500 block of Fayetteville Street — Charter Square Building

    The workers are confirmed dead after a scaffolding collapse at an 11-story high building downtown.

    At least one other person was injured at the construction site.

    An eyewitness told ABC11 the he heard a cracking and popping sound and saw the scaffolding give way and crash to the ground.

    The identities of the victims have not been released.

    Raleigh is the capital of the state of North Carolina as well as the seat of Wake County in the United States. Raleigh is known as the “City of Oaks” for its many oak trees, which line the streets in the heart of the city.
