    BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — A father is facing attempted manslaughter charges after shooting his 18-year-old son during an argument over orange juice.

    Sunday morning, Eldridge Dukes, 58, and his son started fighting because there was allegedly no more OJ in the fridge.

    The son ended up breaking a vase. That’s when Dukes grabbed a handgun.

    The father chased the teen out of the house and fired several shots toward him, striking him in the buttocks.

    Dukes was booked on charges of attempted manslaughter and illegal use of a dangerous weapon, according to the Associated Press.

    Baton Rouge is the capital of the U.S. state of Louisiana and its second-largest city. The seat of East Baton Rouge Parish, the city is located on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River.
