A 30-year-old woman enrolled at City University of New York was found dead in her Manhattan apartment Thursday morning.
Police made the discovery during a welfare check when her family had not heard from her in two days.
WNBC reported: Officers responded to a call of an unconscious and unresponsive woman inside of a building near West 23rd Street and Seventh Avenue just before 7:40 a.m., police said. They discovered Aryuna Dashidorzhina facedown in a water-filled bathtub inside her Chelsea apartment.
Investigators found no signs of foul play and suspect Dashidorzhina fell and died of drowning. A medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
The investigation continues.
