‘Ink Master’ Star Charged with Murder For YouTube Star’s Death

LOS ANGELES — Tattoo artist Daniel Silva, known for being on the show “Ink Master,” is facing murder charges in connection to a fatal crash that killed YouTube star Corey La Barrie on his 25th birthday.

Silva, 26, of North Hollywood faces one count of murder.

Silva was allegedly driving when he crashed his 2020 McLaren 600LT at a high rate of speed, killing Corey James Labarrie, 25, on May 10, prosecutors said. The sports car struck a stop sign and a tree.

Silva began to flee the scene but stayed after neighbors rushed to help. Authorities have not said if alcohol or drugs were a factor but La Barrie’s family believes the two were drinking.

If convicted as charged, Silva faces a possible maximum sentence of 15 years to life in state prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Station.
