INDIANAPOLIS – First responders were on scene of a train derailment in the town of Avon near Indianapolis on Tuesday.
The Wayne Township Fire Department, the Avon Fire Department, CSX officials and police were all assisting at the site of the incident — located near 240 Production Drive.
According to officials, no injuries have been reported and “there is no threat to the population.” Video from the scene shows at least 10 train cars off the tracks.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
