ST. Louis County — A Bellefontaine Neighbors Police sergeant has died after she was struck by a car Monday morning.
The female officer, 53-years-old, was involved in a minor accident while on her way to work. The scene is at the intersection of Old Jamestown and Highway 67 around 8 a.m.
When the officer exited her vehicle to talk to the other driver, she was hit by a third vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Officer was reported in critical condition but later died of her injuries, STL County police said in a tweet.
