SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says a San Antonio Police Officer was shot in the neck tonight, he is in critical condition.
The Officer, Jackie Neal, was accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old in his patrol car in 2013.
The shooter is in custody. According to KSAT, the troubled ex-Officer got into an argument with a female, 46, who lived with him at the home. The woman shot Neal at least once in the neck.
Neal is scheduled for trial in June for the assault allegations. Police say the shooting tonight could be related to that upcoming court appearance.
