Auburn, CA. — On Christmas Eve, at 4:46 p.m., a Placer County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the 800-block of Livingston Road in Meadow Vista, for a burglary in progress.

As the deputy arrived to the location, he observed an open window with broken and mangled blinds. The deputy knocked on the door, and was met by 38-year old Kenneth Erl King, of Lancaster. King is a convicted felon, and was detained by the deputy as a search of the home was conducted. Deputies recovered ammunition for a 9mm handgun in the room where the suspect’s property was found. Additionally, the homeowner told deputies that no one is allowed to be inside the home, and that he did not know who King was.

King was subsequently arrested and charged with burglary, being a felon in possession of ammunition, and trespassing.
