(Scroll down for video) -- At least 131 people were confirmed killed Tuesday after one of the deadliest attacks, widely attributed to the Saudi Arabian-led coalition forces, hit a wedding party in the village of Al-Wahijah on Monday night.

NEW YORK — An Asian man was viciously stabbed multiple times in Brooklyn Saturday. Both men were wearing face masks.

According to the New York Post, ‘Li Qianyang, 48, was walking on 8th Avenue around 7:11 p.m. Saturday when an unknown assailant — also wearing a medical mask, as well as orange gloves — stalked up behind him and stabbed him 13 times in the back, head, arms, and chest before fleeing.’

The attack was reported by the Post as a ‘possible coronavirus-related hate crime.’ Although, the NYPD issued a statement Sunday claiming there is no connection between the virus and the crime.

“Recent media reports HAVE SUGGESTED that the stabbing of a Asian male in Brooklyn is Coronavirus related. At this time detectives working on this case have stated there is absolutely no nexus between the attack and the Coronavirus. SHOULD THERE BE A CHANGE WE WILL UPDATE.”

Qianyang is not expected to survive his injuries. It is unclear if the suspect was in custody.
