Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, who once bragged about sexually assaulting children, reportedly got his ass kicked by a fellow inmate on January 29.
The beat-down took place at the Englewood prison yard in Colorado.
From TMZ: “[Steven] Nigg, who’s in for a weapons charge, left Fogle with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches on his neck. 60-year-old Nigg was also injured — a small cut on his left hand from delivering the whuppin’. Prison officials put Nigg in solitary as punishment.
We spoke to Nigg’s family and they’re not surprised. We’re told Steven’s pissed because so many child sex predators are housed in the low security facility […]”
It was unclear if Nigg faces any additional charges.
In 2015, Fogle was investigated for paying for sex with minors and receiving child pornography. On August 19, 2015, he agreed to plead guilty in federal court to possessing child pornography and traveling to pay for sex with minors.
On November 19, 2015, Fogle formally pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to serve 15 years, 8 months in federal prison with a minimum of 13 years.
