JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tyrone Marquis Taylor, 23, was sentenced Monday to life in prison for his conviction of Murder in the First Degree and two counts of Armed Robbery. Taylor was found guilty of these charges last month.

In September 2012, the two victims were outside talking at an Art Museum Drive apartment complex when they were held at gunpoint and robbed.

After taking the victims’ money and other belongings, one of the victims, 16-year-old Ranod McKann, was shot. Taylor and his co-defendants then fled the scene. McKann later died as a result of his injuries.
