ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Florida — The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man says he accidentally killed his Fiancée.

At 11:56 p.m. on Thursday evening, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call at 7160 Maidstone Drive. The caller stated that he accidentally shot his fiancée, said Sheriff Mascara.

Once on scene, the victim was transported to Tradition Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.

The victim was identified as 47-year-old Glenda Ruth Gregory. Also on scene was the complainant, 52-year-old Philip Nisa, Jr., who cooperated with deputies and detectives.

According to his Linked in page, Nisa is the President of NisAir, an air-conditioning company in Fort Pierce. He reportedly told investigators he shot Gregory thinking she was an intruder.

The Sheriff said, an investigation into the circumstances behind this shooting are underway and more information will be released once concluded.

No charges have been filed.
