Police: 2 Carjackings, Kidnapping in Less Than 12 Hours in Memphis

November 22, 2015- On Saturday, November 21, 2015, at approximately 5:15 a.m., Officers responded to a Carjacking at 1292 Overton Park. Upon arrival, Officers located a 29-year-old male victim which advised that he was sitting in his red/ silver 2004 Ford Expedition with TN-tags W08-92E when a male approached him and asked for assistance. After the male had the victim’s attention another male came up behind the victim, put a gun to victim’s head, and demanded the victim’s vehicle. Victim was thrown to the ground that beaten by both males. The males fled the scene in victim’s SUV. The first suspect is described as a male Black, 20-25 YOA, dark clothes, mustache, approximately 5’9”, and 165 lbs. The second suspect is described as a male Black, 20-25 YOA, gray jacket, approximately 5’8”, and 170 lbs. The victim was able to take a picture of the first suspect with his phone before the robbery occurred.

MEMPHIS, Tennessee — (MPD) — Police are searching for the suspects or suspect involved in two cases of carjackings and kidnapping in the city.

On November 20, 2015 at 7:00pm Memphis Officers responded to a Carjacking/Kidnapping call at 5895 Winchester Rd.

Upon arriving on the scene, the victim told police that he and his brothers were sitting in the vehicle with the doors locked when an unknown male black approached the vehicle armed with a black or gold handgun.

The victim told police that the unknown male tapped on the window with a handgun and out of fear he unlocked the door.

The unknown male got in the driver side seat of the vehicle and drove off with the victims inside. The victim said the unknown male drove the vehicle south-bound on Hickory Hill to Myers Rd, and let them out on Clarke Rd. /Winchester.

The suspect fled the scene Westbound on Winchester. The vehicle that was taken in the Carjacking has not been recovered.

The suspect in the first incident is described as:

Suspect #1- Male, Black, Medium complexion, mustache/goatee, mole under his right eye, 5’10-6’0 in height, 180-200 pounds, wearing a plaid jacket, white shirt and khakis pants.

Carjacking Vehicle Description- 2004 Silver Nissan Armada with Temp-Tag, tinted windows with a red crown “It’s All Good” Decal in the back window, Two white Apple Symbols on the front window windshield and two on the back tailgate center.

No arrests have been made at this point.
