Ford has announced it is recalling nearly half a million cars because of a potential fuel leak.

The recall includes specific 2011 and 2010 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans.

A mechanical issue is linked to cause pressure changes in the gas tank.

The problem then can lead to a cracked gas tank.

Ford has insisted that there are no reports of fires or injuries because of this issue.

It’s estimated that around 411,000 of the cars are within the U.S., with around 34,000 in Canada and over 7,000 within Mexico.

The company said dealers will update the powertrain control module software, inspect the canister purge valve and fuel tank for leaks and replace if necessary for free.

Ford on Monday also issued a recall for 13 2016 medium-duty F-650 trucks for an issue with the steering column.

The “park” position mechanism in the automatic transmission could fracture, resulting in unintended vehicle movement. The vehicles were made at Ford’s Ohio Assembly Plant.
