WATCH: (Scroll Down For Video) The former Florida State University quarterback De’Andre Johnson has now been sentenced to 10 days in jail for punching a woman in the face in a bar.

The 19-year-old pleaded guilty Thursday to misdemeanor battery in a Florida courtroom following the incident on June 24, which was captured on the venue’s security cameras.

He was sentenced to 10 days in a jail work camp, which will be followed by six months probation, TMZ reported.

Johnson will also pay almost $1,000 in fines.

Johnson was dismissed by Florida State following the incident.

In an interview earlier this year, he admitted he should have walked away rather hit the woman.

The victim was a 21-year-old FSU student.

Johnson, accompanied by his mother, sat down with retired NFL player-turned-talk show host Michael Strahan to discuss the brawl in an exclusive interview on Good Morning America.

The Tallahassee Police Department issued a warrant for Johnson, who surrendered June 30 and was released on $500 bond.

He allegedly punched the woman at a Tallahassee nightclub at about 11.30pm on June 24.

The quarterback was suspended indefinitely July 2 by Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher for a violation of athletic department policy and eventually kicked off the team – a decision that got FSU President John Thrasher’s full support.
