Yucaipa, CA. — A 16-year-old San Bernardino resident reported he had been sexual abused by his relative, Eduardo Alvarado, over the course of several years while visiting Alvarado at his Yucaipa home. On February 15, 2019, Yucaipa Police Department investigators and Specialized Enforcement Division detectives contacted Alvarado during a search warrant service at his residence. Detectives arrested Alvarado following the service of the search warrant.
Alvarado is a Redlands School District employee at Redlands East Valley High School. The victim is not a Redlands School District student but, detectives suspect there may be additional victims.
Alvarado is in custody at West Valley Detention Center and is being held on $750,000 bail.
The charges are:
– Sodomy with a Child Under 14 by Force
– Oral Copulation with a Child under 14 by Force
– Lewd Acts with a Child under 14 by Force
– False Imprisonment
– Criminal Threats
