CALIFORNIA — Two dogs died in a house fire in the 2100 block of East Foothill Drive in Santa Rosa on Tuesday. Fire officials believe the fire started in a girl’s bedroom where a Hoverboard was being charged.

The blaze caused an estimated $200,000 in damage. According to the AP, the home was unoccupied except for the two dogs, a labradoodle and a Boston terrier. Fire officials pulled the animals from the blaze but it was too late. They suspect their cause of death was smoke inhalation.

There have been multiple reports of Hoverboard fires in recent months. They’ve even been banned on some airlines.
