ISRAEL (Scroll down for video content) – As Israel reels from the Hamas terror attacks, Gaza is in the grip of an acute humanitarian crisis, with critical shortages of clean water, food, fuel, and medical supplies. As the situation worsens, hundreds of thousands of people are seeking refuge at the border crossing with Egypt. The region has been without electricity for several days.
The largest hospital in Gaza has been transformed into a massive shelter, accommodating approximately 35,000 people, as reported by its director.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken embarked on a diplomatic tour of six Middle Eastern countries, urging Arab nations to collaborate and maintain their commitment to providing humanitarian assistance.
Amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, residents have been urged to evacuate the northern part of the territory. Just over a week ago, Hamas executed a coordinated terror attack, targeting kibbutzim, a music festival, and city streets.
The Israel Defense Forces have deployed personnel and equipment along the border, announcing preparations for an extensive aerial, maritime, and ground-based offensive.
President Joe Biden, in a statement Sunday, revealed that he spoke with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. He condemned Hamas’ assault on Israel and affirmed that the U.S. is working alongside regional partners to ensure the delivery of humanitarian supplies to Gaza and prevent further escalation of the conflict.
The toll of the conflict is severe, with over 2,450 casualties in Gaza and 9,200 people injured. In Israel, 1,400 individuals have lost their lives, and 3,500 have been wounded. The State Department also reports that 29 Americans have perished, with 15 still missing. Many Hamas terrorists were wearing GoPro cameras and captured the horrific atrocities.
