Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Undergoes Surgery

NEW YORK — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent a lung procedure to remove cancerous growths, the Supreme Court said Friday.

The 85-year-old justice is being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.

According to NPR, Ginsburg ‘hopes to be back on the court for the start of the new term in early January.’

On November 8, 2018, she was hospitalized after fracturing three ribs in a fall in her office at the Supreme Court. A day later, Ginsburg had returned to official judicial work after a day of observation.
