EL PASO, TEXAS — A tractor-trailer travelling east on I-10 veered off the highway and crashed into the Motel Six killing a person lodged inside one of the rooms.
41-year old John Zerba was driving the tractor trailer when he lost control of the vehicle, drove off the freeway across the access road and into the hotel.
Zerba was taken to Las Palmas Hospital with minor injuries.
51-year old Derreset Brown died at the scene.
Officers with the Special Traffic Investigations Unit are conducting the ongoing investigation.
