Maryland High School Freshman Dies After Being Stabbed While Trying To Protect His Mother

A teenager from Maryland who was trying to protect his mother was gruesomely stabbed to death by her live-in boyfriend.

Keyshaun Mason,14, died Monday morning after he was allegedly attacked inside an Oxon, Hill Maryland home by his mother’s live-in boyfriend, 48-year-old Sean Crawford.

Police say Crawford stabbed Mason and his 18-yer-old brother inside the home they shared after the they tried to help their mother who was arguing with Crawford, NBC Washington reported.

Crawford grabbed a kitchen knife and barricaded himself and the mother inside a bedroom at some point during the argument.

Neighbors said they heard yelling coming from the home at the time of the horrific incident.

‘It was like a football field of people fighting under me,’ neighbor Alexis Black told NBC Washington. ‘It was really, really loud.’

The news of Mason’s death was shared at the end of the school day Monday with shocked students and faculty at Potomac High School.

Police say Crawford has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first- and second-degree murder. He is being held in jail without bond.
