Police in Kent, Ohio are investigating after someone threw an ignited molotov cocktail under a police cruiser.
The incident occurred at the Kent Police station at around 1:15 a.m. on Monday.
Surveillance video shows a flash as the makeshift explosive hit the ground, although no suspect was caught on camera, Lieutenant Lewis said.
A Police Sergeant was able to trample out the flames. In doing so he found broken glass, Styrofoam, and a BIC style lighter left at the scene.
No officers were hurt in the incident.
Lt. Lewis said that the received minor damage in the form of charring but will not need to be repaired. The car, he explained, has remained in service since the incident.
