New Jersey man, 19, charged with possession, distribution of child pornography

Daniel Edwards, 19, of Gibbsboro, was charged with Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gibbsboro Police Chief Justin Tomaszewski.

Detectives from the High-Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Members of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) – Cherry Hill Office executed a search warrant on January 24, 2019, for Daniel Edward’s residence on Wexford Road in Gibbsboro. An on-site preview of Edwards’ phone led to the above charges being filed against him. Authorities also located numerous digital devices that were taken to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office’s HTCU Forensic Lab to be analyzed.

Daniel Edwards was transported to the Gibbsboro Police Department where he was processed and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility. Under Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court may order that he be detained without bail or released with conditions.

The Gibbsboro Police Department, the Camden County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT) and a New Jersey State Police K9 forensic dog assisted the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office HTCU Detectives and HSI Cherry Hill on this case.

The investigation is ongoing.
