Nigel Farage is said to be planning to move permanently to the United States, according to reports.

The former UKIP leader told friends that he and his wife are planning to emigrate, the Times has reported.

It’s not yet known if Farage is moving across the pond to work alongside President-elect Donald Trump, who recently said he would make a great US ambassador.

Farage was the first UK politician to congratulate Trump on his election victory in person, the pair stole this photo op in front of Trump’s golden doors.

The news comes the morning after Farage attended a party held in his honour at the Ritz, where he was handing out Ferrero Rocher chocolates to the guests.

Last night it also emerged he is now planning a visit to Washington next month for a second meeting with Donald Trump’s aides.
