An off-duty police officer is recovering after getting shot early this morning in Paterson, NJ. Police say the deputy sheriff officer was standing in front of 247 Straight St. at around 1:30 a.m. when he was shot in the torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he’s in stable condition.
