SHOCK VIDEO: Man Shot In The Back By Police After Pulling Rifle Following Car Accident

Paris, Texas — Paris Police Department released bodycam footage of an officer who shot a man armed with a firearm in Paris, Texas. According to Police, officers responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 1600 block of 34th Street N.E. around 9:30 p.m. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, walked away from the scene prior to the officer’s arrival.

Officers located the owner/driver of the vehicle at his residence and conducted a welfare check on him. During the investigation the man pulled out a ‘Bolt-Action Hunting Rifle’ which resulted in an officer-involved shooting. The suspect was provided first aid at the scene by officers and emergency medical responders, and was subsequently transported by Care-Flight to a Dallas-area hospital. The man was left paralyzed. He has no charges or charges pending. The man was later identified as Colton “Coco” Carico, a local musician in the Paris area.
