US Flies F-22 Jets Over South Korea To Deter Pyongyang

The US Air Force deployed a flight of four F-22 Raptor fighters on a training mission over South Korea.

The fighter jets are capable of flying through enemy radar undetected, the jets successfully arrived at Osan Air Base.

The training mission was in response to the recent provocations by North korea.

The fighters were escorted to the airbase by several South Korean aircraft.

Lt Gen Terrence J. O’Shaughnessey released a statement saying: ‘The F-22 Raptor is the most capable air superiority fighter in the world, and it represents one of many capabilities available for the defense of this great nation. The US maintains an ironclad commitment’ to the defense of South Korea.

The US has previously sent warplanes to South Korea during times of tension with the North.
