CALIFORNIA – A Glendale man named Patrick Nazarian, age 22, has been taken into custody for kidnapping and sexual assault.
The Burbank police arrested him for allegedly sexually assaulting at least three teenage girls inside Burbank High School on Monday.
According to investigators, Nazarian entered the school through an unlocked door in the student parking lot around 9 a.m. He approached a 14-year-old girl who was using a bathroom inside the school and sexually assaulted her.
Afterward, he fled the scene but was apprehended by school employees, who kept him under watch until police arrived.
The investigation revealed that two other girls, ages 14 and 17, reported being inappropriately touched by Nazarian.
“Schools are meant to be a sanctuary for our children where they can learn and feel safe in their environment,” District Attorney George Gascón said. “That sense of safety was shattered when these girls were attacked on campus. While I know that the trauma they suffered won’t soon heal, I’m thankful to the heroic actions of the school employees who apprehended the suspect and held him for law enforcement.”
