Six illegal firearms were recovered in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn early morning on Saturday August 8, after officers investigated a domestic violence complaint.

A 40-year-old man was placed under arrest by 62 Precinct officers in the vicinity of Bay Parkway and 23 Avenue. The suspect was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

This is the fourth major gun seizure to occur within the 62 Precinct in the last two weeks. On July 30, police arrested a man and a woman in their 20s for possession of two loaded firearms.

On August 6, cops arrested two more men, ages 71 and 51, for hoarding a huge arsenal of weapons — including a sub-machine gun — and for possessing more than 40 glassines of heroin.
