Finland’s president has issued a warning that the migrant crisis threatens Western values and has further called to stop migrants entering Europe for an easier life.
The Finnish president used his address to criticize nations that allowed too many people to claim asylum when they were not in any danger.
He went on to say: ‘Migration is a serious problem,’ he said at the opening of the legislature’s Spring term yesterday.
‘Europe, Finland, the Western way of thinking and our values have all been challenged by it.’
‘At the moment, however, we cannot help those who are merely seeking a better life or feel that their circumstances and future are difficult in their home countries.’
Recent figures indicate that number is set to rise dramatically and has no sign in slowing down.
The Finnish interior ministry announced that they would deport around 30,000 migrants from the country after their asylum is rejected.
Over 1.1million migrants entered Germany alone in 2015 and the government is set to spend 600 million Euros in Berlin to house a small amount of migrants.
