Tenn. man wanted in murder of girlfriend

NASHVILLE, TENN — Officers are continuing to be on the lookout for suspected murderer Dillard J. Faulkner, who is accused in the July 3rd stabbing death of his girlfriend, Shanequa Murray, 24, inside the couple’s Mona Drive home.

The Davidson County Grand Jury has indicted Faulkner, 25, on a charge of second-degree murder. Efforts t
o locate him have been unsuccessful thus far.

Faulkner telephoned 911 about Murray’s injury on the night of July 3rd. She was transported by ambulance to Summit Medical Center where she died. Faulkner claimed to detectives that Murray’s wound was self-inflicted. However, follow up investigation by Hermitage Precinct Detective William Mathis, with assistance from the Medical Examiner’s Office, determined otherwise.
